DIAGNOSTIC (PLACEMENT) TEST

At the time of registration, a student will be asked to do a Diagnostic Test. It is a Placement Test in the following subjects: Math, English, Science & Social Studies (reading comprehension), and Word Building (vocabulary & spelling).

For students under 6 years of age, the school may additionally require the child to do a Reading Readiness Test, to see how well the child reads.

The Diagnostic Test is to see how far a new student’s knowledge is in each of the Core Subject areas and his/her ability to comprehend reading materials. A student need not study for the Diagnostic Test because it is only a test of the cumulative knowledge the child has gained up to the time of registration.

The Diagnostic Test takes 3-5 days, alongside a Psychology Test, at agreed times between the parent, child and the school.

At the end of the Diagnostic Test, the school will check, compile, and then presentthe results to parents. After seeing the child’s level of entry into each subject, the parent & child may then decide whether to enroll the child into the school or to stay in the previous school.
